The inaugural FatDuro will be held at Auburn Ski Club - Training Center.ASC is located adjacent to Boreal Mountain Resort on Donner Summit at 19749 Boreal Ridge Road. mapFrom I-80 take the Castle Peak exit and drive to the far west end of the Boreal parking lot. (Let the Boreal parking attendants know you are going to Auburn Ski Club and they will waive you on without charging for parking.)Auburn Ski Club Training Center does not allow bikes on trails but is making an exception for this event only on April 9th. Please respect the Training Center trails, facilities and boundaries. Bikes will only be allowed on the marked course. Once the last competitor has made it across the finish line, the no bike policy will be back in force. If you've never been to Auburn Ski Club, checkout this aerial video of some of their trails!
We will have three basic categories: Beginner, Sport and Expert.
All categories will start the race by doing an untimed ride to Crater Lake, and a timed downhill back to the finish line. Racers will begin the downhill portion in group starts by category. The next two stages will be on short and long loops, with each class doing a different number of laps.
1.6 miles down, 400 feet vert
1.3 mile loop, 136 feet vert
2.1 mile loop, 300 feet vert
This race will be chip timed, and laps will be tracked to make sure riders in each category do the correct number of laps.
All race entries will include:
Long-sleeve FatDuro shirt (must register by March 30th to be guaranteed a shirt)

Three stages of racing with RFID chip timing
Cost is $50 for Juniors 18 and Under, and $60 for Adults.
